Overview
Christian Brothers University's new and exciting program Science in Clinical Mental Health Counselling will focus on the importance of multi-disciplinary teams and stress how we all have a role to play in the health and overall well-being of serving clients in need. From social workers to psychiatrists to psychologists and medical assistants, it takes a village to meet and understand where people are and how to diagnose and treat them.
Career:
The program will teach graduate-level students how to be clinical mental health specialists in various fields including social services, hospitals, private practice, and more.Programme Structure
The first professional development cohort will consist of 36 students who expect to graduate in as little as two years. New cohorts will start every fall and run for six consecutive semesters. Students can earn their master’s degree in 60 hours and will also be required to complete 700 hours of hands-on training through practicum and internship experiences.

Graduation requirements include completion of the required 60 semester credit hours, including the 48 semester credit hours in the 16 core courses and 12 credit hours in practicum and internship.

- One official transcript of previous academic credits from each of the colleges or universities previously attended
- A completed Graduate School Application Form
- Individuals who report GRE test scores will have priority. Documentation of previously earned graduate degree or professional certification may be accepted as a waiver of this requirement at the discretion of the Program Director
