Program's Mission:

The Entomology MSc program from Mississippi State University mission is to advance knowledge and understanding of concepts in these disciplines for the betterment of student and clientele educational pursuits, and to contribute to the improved well-being and prosperity of communities, local and global, through teaching, research and outreach efforts within this interdisciplinary department.

Biochemistry is the branch of science concerned with the chemical and physiochemical processes that occur within living organisms. Molecular biology is the branch of biology that deals with the structure and function of macromolecules, like proteins and nucleic acid, that are essential to life. Entomology is the study of insects and the impact they have on the health and economic well-being of mankind. Plant pathology is the study of plant diseases, their causal agents and methods of control.
