Overview
Each campus provides a relaxed and idyllic setting. Classes are offered primarily in the late afternoons or evenings, Monday through Thursday, to accommodate students’ busy lives.
All students at Miami University also complete field practicum hours where they develop knowledge and skills in a local agency. We have partnerships with over 100 non-profit agencies, schools, hospitals, and local Veterans Affairs.
The Social Work program’s curriculum provides a mixture of courses to develop skills in working directly with clients, families, organizations and communities, as well as research-based courses aimed to support students learning how to consume and understand evidenced-based practice.
The Traditional program is for students with an undergraduate degree in a field besides Social Work or a BSW completed more than 5 years ago.
