Educating athletic trainers for over 40 years, the Athletic Training program at Miami University guides students in understanding the connection between the physical, metabolic, organizational, societal, and cultural factors that affect health and performance.

To ensure students are career-ready, the Master of Athletic Training program provides a minimum of four clinical experiences across an array of practice settings. Each experience builds a solid foundation vital for performing the duties of a certified athletic trainer.

Students have the opportunity to complete these experiences with Division I athletic teams and sports clubs at Miami University along with renowned professional sports and health organizations

Applicants for graduate study must have earned at least a U.S. equivalent Baccalaureate degree.

A cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.00.

Verification of fifty (50) hours of clinical observation under a BOC-certified Athletic Trainer. Students may fulfill observations hours with more than one AT.

Proof of Emergency Cardiac Care training (please see the Board of Certification, Inc for a list of approved ECC course options).

Personal Statement of Intent (400-600 words)

Two letters of recommendation
