About Physician Assistant and Public Health Dual Degree at Saint Louis University

Students in the dual degree focus first on the M.P.H., taking three consecutive semesters (summer, fall, spring) devoted entirely to M.P.H. coursework. Then, students shift their focus to their M.M.S. studies within the Doisy College of Health Sciences. Nine credit hours of coursework in the M.M.S. curriculum also count as elective credits towards completion of the M.P.H. degree, providing the credit efficiency that allows students to complete both degrees in 3.5 academic years. Students interested in earning the MPH/MMS dual degree apply separately to both programs prior to starting either one.

Saint Louis University’s College for Public Health and Social Justice is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). The Physician Assistant Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA).
