Overview
At Villanova University, you’ll learn with and from business professionals, accountants and attorneys in our integrated classes, allowing for in-depth, interdisciplinary examinations of tax principles and policies.
Degree requirements
The Master of Taxation is a 30-credit degree program consisting of six required courses and over 45 comprehensive electives to allow you to personalize your course of study. Courses are taught in an eight-week format, allowing you to concentrate on one course at a time while still finishing in two years.
Learning outcomes
Our more than 60 faculty members includes full-time tax scholars and leading practitioners from Big Four accounting firms, law firms, the IRS and other tax companies and organizations.
Students may also pursue a specialty certificate in Employee Benefits, Estate Planning, and State and Local Taxation, either together with LLM degree or on a stand-alone basis.
The MT program is available on-campus, online or in a hybrid format.

- A personal statement, resume and one letter of recommendation are required. You must also participate in the Credential Assembly Service (CAS) and be registered with CAS during the application year. You must apply online, and there is a $75 application fee (fee will be waived for all first-time applicants)
