Overview

The need for public health professionals in both urban and rural areas in Oklahoma and throughout America remains high. Public health careers can be found in local, state, and federal government; nonprofit organizations; businesses and corporations; hospitals; county health departments; universities; and with health foundations and health-based grant projects.

Format

This degree program from Public Health, Rural and Underserved Communities (Online) from Oklahoma State University will be available 100% online beginning Fall 2021. Courses are delivered through Canvas, OSU’s online learning platform. Program courses are offered using 8- and 16-week formats.

Courses are taught asynchronously so students can fit them into their schedules. The courses are taught by OSU faculty who teach students to address current local, national, and international health problems through approaches that apply recent and impactful empirical scientific knowledge.

Applications to the Master’s in Public Health program should be completed via the OSU Graduate College.
For application review, prospective students are required to submit a Resume or Curricula Vitae (CV) and a Statement of Purpose, limited to 1500 words.
The Statement of Purpose should highlight:
Your interest in the Master's in Public Health program at Oklahoma State University.
Your experience and current preferences in the field of public health.
Your professional goals, strengths and how those will shape your personal growth.
Any additional information that will assist in considering your application that may not be reflected in your transcripts, GPA, GRE/other testing scores, resume, etc.
Three letters of recommendation are strongly recommended, but not required.
