University of Miami's Media Scoring and Production program’s design is sufficiently flexible to adjust to the rapid changes so common in this fast-paced industry. The students also find that this flexibility provides for a more tailored program, encouraging them to develop their own philosophy of music production and allowing for specific areas in which to specialize.

Career-oriented arranging and production projects utilizing video and audio equipment as well as symphonic and other live instrumental ensembles are incorporated throughout the curriculum to furnish the student with real-world practical experience in a variety of professional situations.
