Overview

Students will acquire the professional skills necessary for working with policy makers in ministries, public health professionals, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and international organizations (IGOs). These skills combined with their understanding of policy and governance prepares students to assist private, non-profit and for profit organizations to reach out to different health systems, helping to formulate new global and community health strategies.

University of Miami's Global Health and Society unique program provides both undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to examine how global health outcomes relate to society, culture, and the environment. In order to meet the emerging challenges to human health and resilience, our students learn how to adopt evidence-based health policies, practices, and interventions, and how to translate them from international to community scales.

Statement of Purpose
You must provided official transcripts from each post-secondary institution attended. Official transcripts in languages other than English must also be submitted with a certified English translation.
Three letters of recommendation must be provided.
