General requirements

The Graduate School general application (which carries a non-refundable/non-negotiable $85 fee).
Three letters of recommendation (submitted with the Graduate School application).
A personal statement of interest in the M.F.A in Studio Art program at the University of Miami.
A portfolio of digital images of personal artworks, not to exceed 20 images.
An official copy of undergraduate transcript(s) showing the date the B.A. /B.S. /B.F.A. degree was awarded. [Transcripts must show no less than 3.0 for the overall G.P.A.]
A completed Teaching Assistantship application (if the applicant is seeking funding). Assistantships are competitive, and are not guaranteed with admission into the program.
A minimum TOEFL score of 80 (for international students only).
Demonstration that the applicant has completed advanced coursework in the area s/he/they wish to study, as well as related professional and/or exhibition experience.
