What you'll study
The Everett MIT program is designed to accommodate the needs of students who need or wish to continue working during the course of program completion. Students generally take two or three classes during an academic quarter, thus requiring classroom attendance two or three nights per week between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
This MIT program can be completed in seven quarters, with 14 weeks of full-time student teaching (internship). - Baccalaureate degree (or degree completed prior to program start date).
- A minimum overall grade point average of 3.0; or see Graduate School GPA eligibility
- requirements.
- Meet the basic skill requirement.
- Unofficial transcripts for every institution of higher learning attended (official
- transcripts required if admitted).
- A completed endorsement evaluation.
- Resumé.
- Experience working with youth, preferably in an educational setting, with preference to
- public secondary schools.
- Experience with youth and families in diverse socio-economic, cultural, linguistic
- settings.
- Essays responding to the prompts (prompts are noted in the online application).
- Three letters of reference (see below for details).
- Completion of an approved English composition course, with a grade of B or higher.
- English language proficiency.
- Interview by SEC faculty (details provided after application deadline).
