Curriculum Designed For Today’s Global Business

The Management program of the Florida Institute of Technology is built on its reputation as a culturally diverse university offering rigorous curriculum and robust learning experiences. Students earning a master’s in management develop management competencies through the practical application of management theory and tested business and management solutions. Designed to cover the operational and managerial issues facing businesses today, the curriculum integrates content from the Society for Advancement of Management, the Academy of Management, the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business Center for Ethics and Leadership, and the Center for Lifecycle and Innovation Management.

Experienced Faculty

Students in the master’s in management program receive instruction from professors who bring real-world experience to the classroom. The faculty holds doctoral degrees in business, organizational management, leadership, and related fields. Lecture, discussion, and fieldwork through consulting are combined to provide a comprehensive learning experience. General requirements

The applicant to the program must have a bachelor’s degree; however, the degree need not be in business administration. Students who are graduates from other fields are encouraged to apply.

Students with an undergraduate business degree or courses may be able to waive the program prerequisite based on an evaluation of their undergraduate academic transcripts. Prerequisite courses are required of a student whose undergraduate major is outside the business area or who has not previously completed the courses in these prerequisite areas. The exact number of needed prerequisite courses depends on courses completed during the student’s undergraduate studies.

General admission requirements and the process for applying are discussed under Graduate Academic Information. Individuals who do not meet the stated requirements for regular admission may petition to take graduate courses for credit as a continuing education applicant.
