General requirements
- Preferred minimum GPA is 3.00 in engineering and 3.25 in science. Previous research experience will be considered in the case of applicants with GPAs below the preferred minimum.
- A BS in chemical engineering or other engineering major from an ABET-accredited institution is required unless applying to the BSChE/MSChE integrated degree program.
- Applicants with other undergraduate degrees (e.g., degrees in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, geology, or physics) may be considered but are expected to have knowledge of material and energy balances, heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, chemical reaction engineering, and separations.
