The AMB program offers flexible completion pathways, including a full-time one-year accelerated format. The core curriculum combines advanced lecture-based coursework with continuous laboratory research, requiring biological chemistry alongside specialized upper-level electives. Coursework covers key subjects such as eukaryotic molecular genetics, synthetic and systems biology, approaches to molecular biology, and writing-intensive scientific topics. Research in the Applied Molecular Biology M.S. program is integrated directly into the curriculum through independent and collaborative laboratory projects.
