The Department of Agricultural Education, Technology & Innovation puts science to work to improve our food systems. From advancements in sustainable farming practices, to breakthroughs in food security and nutrition, to developing pedagogies that inspire future generations, we find solutions to the biggest challenges in agriculture and agricultural education.

The Department of Agricultural, Education, Technology & Innovation offers invaluable opportunities in and out of the classroom, engaging students in real-world experiences through state-of-the-art facilities, like the Agriculture Technology Education Center and the Innovation Collaboratory.

Key Features

Coursework includes topics such as team and organizational leadership; entrepreneurial leadership in agriculture and the life sciences; principles and applications of organizational innovation; and communicating knowledge in agriculture and the life sciences.

The Agricultural Leadership (Certificate NDP) certificate from The University of Arizona also offers coursework in research methods and project design. The graduate certificate can be obtained online or in person. Earning the certificate will make you a competitive candidate for work in agricultural businesses, higher education, the extension sector and farm organizations.
