General requirements
In considering applications, the Advanced Standing Admissions Committee takes into account the applicant’s academic preparation, prior dental school performance, passage of National Board Dental Examination Part I, and English language ability, as demonstrated by TOEFL subtest scores. Also considered are factors such as an applicant’s dental experience and motivation for the study of dentistry. Postgraduate study is also highly regarded. Letters of reference from a dental school dean and faculty are important elements in the evaluation. The Admissions Committee contacts selected applicants regarding interview invitations. A personal interview is required for admission, but does not guarantee acceptance.
