Our nationally renowned faculty members have strengths in all areas of pharmaceutical science, and many have been recognized for teaching excellence, outstanding research and their professional activities. Research focus areas include the exploration and design of anti-infective agents, the design and development of innovative drug dosage forms, and the mechanisms and consequences of drug interactions with living organisms.
We are currently accepting applications from students interested in the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmacy encompassing the disciplines of pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry/natural products, or pharmacology.
Prospective students may apply to the Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree in the College of Pharmacy at Oregon State University encompassing the disciplines of pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry/natural products, or pharmacology. The College of Pharmacy does not accept applications from students interested in stand-alone M.S. degrees. However, we will accept applications from students who, for funding reasons, must obtain an MS degree en route to a Ph.D. degree. This should be clearly noted in the applicant's statement. Our formal application deadline is Jan 1 for matriculation in Fall term. However, interested students should apply as soon as possible. Special funding is available from Oregon State University to attract the most highly qualified applicants.

General requirements

Oregon State University Certification of Finances Form is required of all applicants, regardless of funding source. This includes applicants that have been granted a Teaching or Research Assistantship.
Supporting documentation, demonstrating sufficient financial resources for the desired academic program. See below for Acceptable Forms of Financial Documentation
Photocopy of Applicant’s Passport and Passport of any dependents (if passport has already been issued – this is used to match the name on the passport and visa documents).
