Overview
The Physician Assistant program at Valparaiso University will provide students currently pursuing their BSHS prerequisite course work with the culminating accredited phase of their five-year program.
The curriculum will provide the didactic and practical hands-on training required to complete their education as physician assistant students. A combined total of 101 credit hours from the MSPA Program are required.

Physician Assistants are nationally certified and state-licensed medical professionals who practice medicine on healthcare teams. They practice and prescribe medication in all 50 states.
PAs take medical histories, conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, assist in surgery, perform procedures, make rounds in hospitals, and much more. You will find PAs in every field of medicine.
At Valpo, you will develop essential skills in critical thinking, communication, leadership, and patient care. They are committed to educating PAs for practice in a variety of healthcare settings. You will benefit from the College of Nursing and Health Professions’ inter-disciplinary curriculum and opportunities to study, work, and learn abroad.
