About

The Computer Science program of the Georgia Southern University is an award-winning program that prepares you for a career in knowledge-based data systems. These computer science fields are experiencing explosive job growth, offering median salaries exceeding $90,000 per year.

Overview

Our 30-credit-hour master’s degree was named 21st among 55 schools in the 2017 Best Online Graduate Computer Information Technology Programs by U.S. News and World Report, and offers students a unique balance of academic and theoretical learning with practical skills and experience that will give you the real-world experience you’ll need for a career in computer science.

In addition, Georgia Southern offers the only Data Mining and Data Warehousing concentrations in Georgia — one of only a handful of such master’s degrees in the world. Such Data-related graduate programs are in high demand, and our master’s degree provides the insights and experience you’ll need.

The Master of Science in Computer Science will now be offered as a hybrid program, which students can take either on-campus or online. This new delivery-mode will allow us to accept full-time graduate students, admit international students, and also provide graduate assistantships for interested students.
