Overview
Gain an edge in understanding and combating transnational crime with a master’s in International Criminal Law and Justice from the University of New Hampshire.
Designed for professionals, students and scholars in diplomatic, criminal, military or law enforcement communities, students will explore the most pressing issues in international criminal law and justice today, from the expanding reach of domestic criminal statutes to commerce issues around terrorism to crimes of war, drug laundering, human trafficking, weapons trafficking, human rights, international white-collar crime, and cybercrime.
As an online program, students complete the program in a flexible format, with full-or part-time options starting in August and January with a diverse selection of courses.
UNH Law graduates from the ICLJ LLM program will demonstrate competency at the level of an experienced attorney in these four areas:
- Knowledge and understanding of substantive and procedural law in the traditional area of criminal law and practice, focused on the increasingly international nature of this realm of law in the information age.
- Legal analysis and reasoning, legal research, problem-solving, and written and oral communication in the context of criminal law and practice in the United States and globally.
- Exercise of proper professional and ethical responsibilities to clients and the national and global legal systems around criminal law; and
- Other professional skills needed for competent and ethical participation as a member of the legal profession focused on the practice of criminal law domestically and internationally.
