The School Counseling program of Alfred University is offered through the Center for Integrated Teacher Education (CITE). Our School Counseling- program is a satellite of the Counseling program on the main campus in Alfred, NY. Programs are offered at locations in Brooklyn, Westchester, and Oceanside, Long Island.

The School Counseling program of Alfred University is over 50 years old, and now our off-campus students can take advantage of it in an urban setting close to home.

Three Campus Locations

Classes for this off-campus program are offered at campuses in Brooklyn at St. Francis College, as well as Westchester and Oceanside, Long Island at The College of St. Rose.

Small Class Sizes

The School Counseling program is structured to allow separate groups of no more than 25 students to enter the program each fall. Groups remain together through the entire program.

The School Counseling MSEd program and courses are designed to enhance a teacher's ability to impart academic knowledge and to better prepare them to confront the complex social, emotional, and behavioral issues that affect learners in today's classroom. The program is committed to offering practical courses which will have direct, immediate, and observable impact on each educator's ability to successfully teach in New York Area schools.
