Two program options are available in the speech-language pathology graduate program. Students who elect to write a thesis must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of course work, plus the thesis. Students who do not elect to write a thesis must complete a minimum of 36 semester hours of course work. All students, however, must take those courses that will enable them to meet the academic and practicum requirements for certification by ASHA and for licensure in the state of South Carolina.
