About the college

The JSU College of Education & Professional Studies proudly serves the citizens of northeast Alabama, the southeast, and the nation through our traditional and online programs of study.

Teachers and other school personnel prepared at the baccalaureate, master's, and educational specialist levels develop an extensive knowledge and skill based education appropriate for the level of certification.

Developing initial and advanced education candidates into effective, reflective, creative decision makers is the fundamental goal of all teacher preparation programs at JSU.

Completed JSU Graduate Application for Admission.
Non-refundable $35.00 application processing fee.
Official transcripts from all colleges/universities with degrees posted. (Students who have previously attended JSU do not need to request a transcript from the university.)
Three Graduate Reference Forms completed by individuals who can provide qualitative assessment of the applicant’s potential for success in graduate coursework. Reference forms will be submitted electronically. Instructions for submission will be sent through email to the applicant upon submission of the online graduate application.
If currently an educator, a copy of the candidate’s Professional Educator Certificate.
A professional curriculum vita or resume.
