Located in one of the world’s most vibrant centers for music, this String Studies MM program from New York University will give you advanced performance training and intensive academic course work with exceptional opportunities in the music industry.

Your Academic Experience

The course strives to create an environment modeled after the real-life experiences of our artist-faculty. Curricular opportunities include private instruction, technique and repertoire classes, chamber and orchestral ensembles, the NYU Broadway Orchestra, Baroque Ensemble, Contemporary Ensemble, and more.

With half of the degree credits available as elective study, you can tailor your curriculum toward your specific interests, musical goals, and career objectives in areas such as pedagogy, music technology, film scoring, composition, songwriting, performing arts administration, and music business.
