Overview
Tailor your curriculum toward your specific interests and musical goals through two core courses in music research and music history/literature; six courses in music performance, including various private instruction, ensemble, chamber music, workshop, repertoire, and string classes; and three elective courses in subjects such as music theory, performing arts administration, music business, music technology, and other related areas of interest.
At the String Studies MM program from New York University you will learn to analyze the performance practices, both historical and contemporary, informing the performance of repertoire from the 18th–21st centuries.
