Overview
Over 80% of program alumni have been admitted to doctoral programs, and recent graduates have matriculated at PhD programs at highly ranked institutions, including the University of Michigan, Purdue University and North Carolina State University.
Program alumni have successful careers in teaching at secondary and post-secondary institutions, industry, and national research labs.
We offer a master degree in Physics at the North Carolina Central University. Throughout the history of the program, all participating students in good academic standing have been fully supported, with tuition, fees and stipends provided through research or teaching assistantships.
Students are eligible to take courses at nearby Duke University, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and NC State University through inter-institutional agreement, which also includes a formal bridge to the PhD program at NC State that provides additional research and networking opportunities for participating students.
