Overview

The program in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Teachers College at Columbia University is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and students who complete the degree program are eligible for New York State licensing in speech and language pathology.

In addition, students who complete an additional course and school-based practicum are eligible for initial certification in Teacher of Speech and Language Disabilities (TSLD).
