The Christian Studies program of Oklahoma Baptist University combine uncompromising academic rigor with unparalleled ministry relevance, providing learners and practitioners with foundational knowledge and specialized skills for ministry. Students may select one of two tracks, Leadership or Apologetics.

MA in Christian Studies: Leadership

Students learn foundational biblical and theological knowledge, equipping them to lead effectively in ministry. Courses prepare students for contemporary, biblical leadership in the face of challenges involving staff, congregations and volunteers. Whether you are a pastor; an associate pastor; a minister of music, education, or missions; or even an active layperson, this track will equip you to lead the church or support those who do.

MA in Christian Studies: Apologetics

Students learn to defend the faith from some of the best scholars and practitioners of apologetics in the nation. This degree prepares learners to defend the Christian faith in a winsome and compelling manner. Students learn how to study scripture; analyze culture; and apply biblical, theological, and philosophical understanding to develop a reasonable defense of the Christian faith.
