Overview
The Public Health program of New England Institute of Technology uses technology to immerses you in essential public health services along with critical management principles, giving you a balanced view of public health science with a foundation on leadership, budgeting, and grant writing. You’ll expand your experience with public health science as well as other emerging topics including preparedness and quality improvement.
Our focus on the practical work and application of public health prepares you with the leadership skills to build coalitions, evaluate projects, design public health interventions, assess and address community needs, and use the health equity framework to advance population health goals. You will be prepared to be a successful public health practitioner and advance your career path in public health.
Goals
- Maintain state of the art online MPH curriculum to prepare skilled practitioners.
- Consult, adopt, adapt and regularly contribute to public health applied research and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
- Bring expertise and leverage resources to practice public health and address health equity in populations .

General requirements
Applicants to the program will need:
- A bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (health care, community health, health sciences, management, nursing, psychology, health, and wellness, etc.) from an accredited institution with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher; OR
- A bachelor’s degree in any other field, along with 3 years or more work experience in public health; AND
- Professional resume indicating experience in public health (work for a state, local, tribal department of health, hospitals, foundations, community health centers, health coalitions or advocacy groups, health insurance, college research, or other public health-related entity)
- A personal statement describing your personal/career goals, your interest in public health, and how the Master of Public Health at NEIT will help you reach those goals.
