Overview
Key facts
The graduates of the Theological Studies program of North Park University often go on to pursue doctoral studies in a biblical or theological field leading to a career in academic scholarship. The program may also be a good choice for lay persons who desire greater theological knowledge in order to serve their local congregations.
Study in Chicago and Online
The MATS is typically completed in two years of full-time study in Chicago, though students may choose to extend the degree program utilizing a combination of in-person and online courses. At least 24 credits must be completed at our main campus, which offers the advantage of world-class faculty, research opportunities, and the community on our campus and throughout the city. For this degree, students must have access to a theological library during their thesis writing (either in their home location or by relocating to Chicago for those months).
