About

The CMHC degree program can be completed in 2 years and requires 1,000 hours of practicum and internship experience with community mental health agencies. The coursework completed throughout the clinical mental health counseling program academically prepares you for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Florida and the eligibility to sit for the Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) exams. The M.S. in clinical mental health counseling degree program is competitive and requires that each student completes an interview with the counseling program admissions committee to determine eligibility. Considerations for the CMHC program follows this criteria:

  • Completed applications will be sent to the counseling faculty for review.
  • Interviews will be scheduled within 3 weeks depending upon student’s availability.
  • Decisions will be communicated to Admission within 2 weeks of the interview process.
