The Master of Business Administration program at Southwest Minnesota State University emphasizes critical and strategic thinking, developing managerial skills, real-world applications, ethics, and leadership taught in a technologically-advanced, active learning environment. The MBA degree offers four areas of concentration:

What you'll study

The program’s curriculum is designed to meet the management needs of organizations now and in the future. The enhancement of a person’s managerial, financial and market decision-making abilities is at the core of our curriculum. In addition, our program includes topics such as global markets, ethics, effective communication, diversity management, and leadership/teamwork skills. The entire program is aimed at enabling students to be competent managers in a rapidly changing world.

Official transcript from an accredited college or university stating a Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) has been completed. If you attended a Minnesota State College or University, SMSU should be able to view your transcript without you having to request one to be sent.
**International Students, please submit an evaluation of your transcripts so we can receive a calculation of your GPA. We currently accept evaluations from SpanTran, WES, and ECE.
MBA students are required to have a 3.0 GPA or take the GMAT exam and score a 450 or above for admission into the program.
