Program Outcomes

This intelligence degree applies intensively rigorous academic methods to professional scenarios. You will be challenged to develop an article for possible submission to scholarly journals in every class. At the end of your academic coursework, you will possess an extensive and impressive scholarship portfolio as well as refined presentation skills. 

Before you graduate, faculty will guide you in applying for Intelligence Community internship programs or private intelligence-related internships. Upon graduation with the Master of Science in Intelligence and Security Studies, you will be prepared to:

  • Recognize how US national security impacts and is influenced by transnational issues and threats.
  • Identify major transnational dangers impacting the global community and how they affect international security.
  • Evaluate how various intelligence communities around the globe operate in comparison to the American intelligence community.
  • Recognize the complexities and challenges facing issues that impact global interaction/cooperation, including peacekeeping, military intervention, diplomacy, the environment, political economy, and cultural dissension.
