Overview
The master's program in Biomedical Engineering at the Widener University is designed to further your skills and understanding of engineering and life sciences, while encouraging you to explore specializations within the field.
Students benefit from a variety of research opportunities, a supportive environment and a flexible curriculum. All graduate classes are offered in the evening, so that you can continue to work while pursuing your degree. Some of these classes are also available to stream online.
If you'd like to get more involved with research or teaching, graduate assistantships are available. You can earn your master of science in engineering degree with or without a thesis. The classroom study includes core engineering courses as well as technical electives, including advanced courses in microscopic and medical imaging, medical instrumentation, nanotechnology, and biomechanics, devices and design.
Students following the thesis option will take 24 credits of classroom study and complete a 6-credit thesis. Those not pursuing thesis will replace the 6-credit thesis with two technical electives.
