Overview
The program is located within easy access to Center City Philadelphia with its rich collection of major historical and contemporary buildings. Philadelphia also provides an ongoing laboratory for many of our courses and opportunities for internships.
The Architecture Program at Thomas Jefferson University offers multiple starting tracks. Your track will be individually decided based on your level of preparedness.

The program ranges from a 48-credit minimum for those with advanced standing, to a 3+ year 99-credit degree program for students without previous experience.

- Transcripts: Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from all regionally accredited institutions you have attended and/or from which you earned credit. Official transcripts can be sent electronically by the institution to enroll@jefferson.edu or mailed to the address above.
- Personal Statement: Submit a statement of purpose outlining your interest in the program, how the course of study relates to your desired career path, and your academic and job-related experiences that are relevant to the program.
- Letters of Recommendation: Submit two letters of reference that provide insight into your academic competence.
- Résumé: A current professional résumé is required.
- Portfolio: A portfolio of creative and/or professional work in architecture, the visual arts, and/or design is required as part of your application for graduate study in the Master of Architecture program.
