The Criminal Justice Department offers courses leading to the Master of Science with a major in criminal justice. The department also offers an area of concentration in criminal justice within the Master of Public Administration degree program.

About

Applicants who meet the general admission requirements of the College of Graduate Studies are eligible for admission to the Master of Science with a major in criminal justice program. A particular undergraduate major is not specified for admission to the program; however, additional courses for non-criminal justice majors may be required. Students accepted to the Master of Science with a major in criminal justice program must meet with the graduate advisor. An advisory committee will be selected to assist the student in developing a degree plan that satisfies University and department requirements.

Academic Requirements

  • This programme accepts GRE® scores, however, has not provided a recommended or minimum required score range.

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

  • Minimum GPA varies depending on the program.
  • Detailed course description and/or syllabus for each courses/subjects completed in Bachelor's degree program when needed by the concerned graduate department.
  • Copy of passport.
  • Copy of financial document (financial statement and letter) stating a balance of at least $30,500.
  • GRE/GMAT/MAT as required by the program.
  • If you are a transfer from another U.S. institution, contact your International Student Advisor and submit a Transfer Clearance form.
  • Proof of English Proficiency score.
