Overview
Applied Leadership for Teaching and Learning from University of Wisconsin Green Bay is the first in Wisconsin to incorporate the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards, and has been praised by the Governor as a worthy initiative to help WI teachers obtain NBPTS certification and quality professional development. This program has gained national attention as an exemplary, advanced degree program.
Graduates with Applied Leadership for Teaching and Learning from University of Wisconsin Green Bay will:
- gain the ability to provide leadership in the improvement of student learning;
- be able to design, implement, reflect upon and evaluate school-based and learner-focused research
- be able to integrate classroom experiences into the course of study.

General requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
- A 3.0 GPA measured on a 4.0 scale for the final two years of study.
- International students must be prepared to submit a minimum score of 550 on the paper test or 213 on the computer based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
- Minimum of two years satisfactory teaching experience preferred
- A completed online application form and the current fees
- A writing sample/letter of application describing principal areas of academic interest, capabilities, experience, and reasons for pursuing the M.S. degree.
- Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from previous colleges or universities attended, sent directly to UW-Green Bay from these institutions.
