Highlights

Chemical, Biological and Bioengineering are core engineering disciplines central to the College, the university's mission and its land grant heritage. The breadth of these disciplines connects to other academic programs internally as well as externally. The interdisciplinary links have allowed us to develop strengths in emerging areas of engineering, while maintaining our excellence in more traditional areas.

The graduate Chemical Engineering program from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University prepares students for further study at the doctoral level or for advanced chemical engineering practice in industry. Graduates of the program work in a broad range of fields and create innovative solutions to important industrial and societal problems. Active areas of research include Thermodynamics and Molecular Computation, Catalysis and Reaction Engineering, Transport Processes, Polymers, Energy and Fuels, Environmental Chemical Engineering and Biological Engineering.

Online application for admission to the Graduate College.
Transcripts: One unofficial copy of transcript(s)/mark sheet(s) from all colleges and universities previously attended must be uploaded on the application portal. An overall GPA of 3.0 in the bachelor's degree, a previously earned graduate degree or a GPA of 3.0 on at least 12 post-baccalaureate graduate credits is necessary (in addition to the other criteria outlined in the Graduate Catalog) for unconditional admission.
Recommendations: Three recommendations are expected.
Personal statement of interest in the program, as required.
English language proficiency: International applicants are required to provide evidence of English language proficiency.
