The Professional MBA program of The University of Tampa is a part-time program designed to help professionals with at least five years of work experience take their career to the next level. Classes are offered in a flexible, evening format.

Overview

The Professional MBA program of The University of Tampa features a leadership development course and a capstone strategic management project based on students’ real-world jobs. The rest of the curriculum is similar to the traditional MBA program, including the option to take courses in an area of concentration.

  • Flexibility: Courses are offered in the evening, allowing you to plan them around your work schedule. As a part-time student, you’ll take no more than 8 credit hours per semester. Most students will complete the program within 24 to 30 months.

  • Possible GMAT Waiver: Students with at least five years of full-time work experience and a 3.0 GPA may be eligible for a GMAT waiver, pending committee review.

GRE admission requirements GRE® The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. It contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

  • Personal statement: In approximately 500-1,000 words, describe your professional goals and how a graduate degree from The University of Tampa will help you accomplish those goals. In turn, you may also want to emphasize what you can contribute to the graduate program.
  • Work experience is recommended but not required.
