About

Graduates of the Health Administration program at Valparaiso University will be prepared to assume leadership roles in this growing, yet changing enterprise, and will bring a background that helps them deal with the current and forthcoming ethical challenges of medicine and health care.

Of specific relevance to establishing a master’s program in health administration at Valparaiso University is the Lutheran church’s longstanding history of active engagement in health issues through hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, and other health care facilities and indemnity programs.

The program is open to both professionals in health care and new entrants to the field. Furthermore, the flexibility in delivery format of the program enables completion as either a part-time or full-time student.

The curriculum has both online and on-site components, and is designed so full-time students can complete the degree in 18 months. Part-time students will typically require about 30 months.
