Overview
The English program of Bradley University strengthens your understanding of writing theory and communication practices. You can focus your studies through tracks in literature or writing. Both require you to complete an internship and a comprehensive final exam. The graduate program can be completed in three semesters, though you have five years to finish the degree.
Successful Outcomes
The graduate English degree successfully prepares you to advance in professional settings or to pursue a doctorate. Many K-12 teachers pursue the graduate degree to strengthen the knowledge within their fields. In recent years, most students found jobs or continued their education within six months of graduation. They’re working at places such as United Way, AmeriCorps, ConAgra Foods, and public school districts. Others are attending graduate schools at institutions such as Creighton University, the University of Illinois and Ohio State University.
