Advance your nursing career with a patient-centered, family-focused Family Nurse Practitioner program of Endicott College. This program is designed to provide registered nurses with advanced knowledge in several key areas and highlight current trends in evidence-based practice in a collaborative learning environment.


Graduates of the Family Nurse Practitioner program of Endicott College will be prepared as autonomous providers to care for individuals and families across the lifespan. The program includes a focus on health promotion and disease prevention as well as the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses encountered in the primary care setting.

Upon completion of this track, you will be eligible for family nurse practitioner certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and will be eligible to apply for state licensure.

GRE admission requirements GRE® The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. It contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

English requirements

TOEFL admission requirements TOEFL® IBT The TOEFL iBT® is given online through the internet at designated testing site. The test measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The score refers to the total score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading), each subject has a range of 0 - 30.
IELTS admission requirements IELTS The International English Language Test System (IELTS) tests your English-language proficiency on a scale of 1 – 9. The score refers to the combined average score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading).

General requirements

  • Non-refundable $50.00 application fee. Application fee waived for veteran and military students
  • Two letters of recommendation (one academic reference and one professional reference)
  • Official transcripts of all post-secondary academic work sent directly from the institution(s) including confirmation of undergraduate degree, date confirmed, and any other graduate work
  • Essay of 250-500 words on career goals and motivation for graduate study;
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for all students whose native language is not English. Endicott also accepts an IELTS score
  • GPA greater than or equal to 3.25
  • Photocopy of Registered Nurse License verification, which must be current and unrestricted
  • A basic statistics course is required of all students
