Program Objectives

At the end of the program, the graduate nurse will be able to:

Integrate findings and theories from nursing science and related disciplines to lead the continued improvement of nursing care across diverse settings.

Provide flexible leadership and inter/intra professional collaboration in a complex and ever-changing healthcare delivery system to safely achieve quality, patient-centered care.

Ethically conduct and/or use research which contributes to the development of nursing science.

Advocate for policies to promote health, shape healthcare delivery, defend social justice, and advance the profession of nursing.

Synthesize population health concepts to affect appropriate health interventions, to prevent disease, reduce risks, and promote health and wellness in diverse populations.

General requirements

Students should note that they must have their bachelor's degree in nursing in order to be admitted to either master's program as well as have their RN license

Submit online graduate admissions application

Pay a $50 non-refundable processing fee

Submit a statement of purpose of 600 words or less

A transcript evaluation must be completed by an approved agency which includes all previous academic course work, as well as a complete description of courses and overall GPA (course-by-course evaluation)

International applicants are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores as a part of the application process

Required of students studying on-campus, in the U.S. only: To obtain a Form I-20 for your studies at Tarleton, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funding
