The Criminal Justice program at Tarleton State University offers a professional curriculum track that's designed through collaboration with Criminal Justice field experts. We present our graduates with extensive academic knowledge along with the management and leadership skills necessary for success in the competitive Criminal Justice field. Furthermore, our program does not require you to take the GRE or MAT.
Program Objectives
Graduates of the program are expected to be:
- Conversant with the theoretical and legal principles that are implicit in Criminal Justice Administration,
- Knowledgeable about essential research contributions in the field,
- Capable of field appropriate research contributions, and
- Capable of assuming decision-making responsibilities in any Criminal Justice Administration-related area.

- Pay a $50 non-refundable processing fee
- Submit a statement of purpose of 600 words or less
- A transcript evaluation must be completed by an approved agency which includes all previous academic course work, as well as a complete description of courses and overall GPA (course-by-course evaluation)
- International applicants are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores as a part of the application process
- Required of students studying on-campus, in the U.S. only: To obtain a Form I-20 for your studies at Tarleton, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funding
