The faculty members of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Tarleton State University are practicing LPCs, and their goal is to help mold students into best practice counselors, which are in high demand in the counseling field.

Not only is it our program faculty members' goal to give students the knowledge and skills they will need for a career in the counseling field; they strive to promote excellence and maintain the high standards set by the university. Classes are offered in the evenings and some weekends to comply with the busy schedules of our students. Please note that summer course schedules may vary.

Interview

Complete 2 Pre-CMHC classes in first semester, earning a grade of B or better

Submit online graduate admissions application

Pay a $50 non-refundable processing fee

Submit a statement of purpose of 600 words or less

A transcript evaluation must be completed by an approved agency which includes all previous academic course work, as well as a complete description of courses and overall GPA (course-by-course evaluation)

International applicants are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores as a part of the application process

Required of students studying on-campus, in the U.S. only: To obtain a Form I-20 for your studies at Tarleton, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funding
