Our Plan to Build You
The Athletic Training program of Tarleton State University will inspire discovery, leadership, and service through captivating educational and clinical experiences. We will provide you with the opportunities that develop a true desire for intellectual inquiry, the skills and confidence needed to lead, and a heart for service to the local and global communities. The program follows a cohort model and only 12 students will be admitted each year. This allows for small class sizes and more student/instructor interaction. Overlook limits and seek the possibilities.
Program Objectives
- Students will complete impactful professional development activities in the global healthcare community.
- Students will critically analyze real-world athletic training situations with diverse patient populations.
- Students will demonstrate leadership skills, including collaboration and written and verbal communication skills with a variety of populations.
- Students will successfully complete the national Board of Certification (BOC) exam.
