They offer three different options within the Applied Psychology program at Tarleton State University:

The Thesis option is designed for students who want to conduct and publish independent empirical research in the discipline, and is the best option for those who plan to continue on to doctoral study.

The Applied Project option is designed for students who do not plan on continuing with doctoral study, but wish to engage in a capstone experience that will involve applying the knowledge and skills acquired by their advanced study in the psychological sciences.

The Teaching Track option is the choice for students seeking a career as an adjunct seeking a career in teaching lower level psychology courses in community colleges.

Admission to Tarleton State University – Graduate Studies

Undergraduate major in Psychology (Those lacking the desired background will be require to complete leveling work in statistics and research for psychology.)

Complete and submit the Apply Texas Online Application

Submit official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate coursework (A GPA of 2.5 or higher is required for the last 60 hours of coursework)

Students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on the last 60 hours are not require to take the GRE, MAT, or MFT tests. Students with a GPA between 2.5 and 2.99 will be require to submit test scores.
