General requirements

  • At least 18 semester hours of undergraduate work in political science or at least 12 semester hours in political science and 12 in other social sciences, including a survey course in the American political system or introduction to political science;
  • At least a 3.00 (4.00 scale) grade point average (GPA) in the above undergraduate course work;
  • Three letters of recommendation;
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE) general test scores;
  • A letter or statement describing career objective and fields of interest in political science.
  • A writing sample.
