Overview
Experience a leading international affairs degree – from anywhere
The interdisciplinary curriculum of the Global Master of Arts program of Tufts University provides the 360-degree perspective of international affairs that’s essential to succeeding as a global leader. The first and only hybrid program of its kind, GMAP allows accomplished individuals to earn a Master of Arts in International Relations from anywhere, without interrupting their careers.
Develop deep international expertise and leadership
GMAP is a premier leadership training program for international executives and global leaders. Our students possess diverse interests and backgrounds, and come from a wide variety of international professions from around the world. Through a rich interdisciplinary curriculum that encourages team-based collaboration, GMAP provides students with a comprehensive understanding of international affairs. The program explores the complex and nuanced intersections among key subject areas including security, finance, social issues, diplomacy and politics.
Diplomacy curriculum around the globe
The GMAP program is anchored by three two-week residency sessions: two held at Fletcher and one at an international location. In addition to their coursework and lectures, during these residency sessions students engage in discussions with classmates, connect with Fletcher alumni and faculty, and learn from local experts, politicians, and thought leaders. During the remaining 33 weeks of web-based study, our students use a sophisticated online platform to continue their coursework and stay connected with faculty and classmates, seamlessly picking up from work completed during their residency sessions.
