Overview

The graduate program in Applied Mathematics prepares the successful candidateto pursue a Ph.D. program or assume immediate employment in business,industry or government.To meet these goals, the program is designed to provide opportunities for advanced study and research on the application of mathematical methods to real-world problems. The primary research interest of the graduate faculty include: stochastic processes, time series analysis,applied statistics, computational fluid dynamics,discrete mathematics, numerical analysis, operator theory, scientific computing, thermonuclear fusion and functional analysis. The major course offerings consist of topics such as numerical analysis, partial differential equations, stochastic processes, non-linear dynamics, and statistics.

GMAT admission requirements GMAT The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a test intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA. GMAT contains 4 sections - Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal. The score has a range from 200 - 800.
