The Criminal Justice program of Valdosta State University is also offered entirely online. Completion of 36 credits is required, six of which include a thesis. The degree can be completed in two years.

Advanced education is needed for those who will become leaders in the criminal justice system by providing the administrative skills needed to upgrade levels of professional practice, improve standards, develop and implement innovative policies and practices, initiate new perspectives, and act as agents of change.

The MS degree is exclusively focused on organizational administration and managing criminal justice agencies. The degree equips students with administrative skills in order to lead the CJ organization and manage agency operations. Course curriculum was developed in consultation with Field Practitioners.

Online Graduate Application.
Must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally- accredited institution.
Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale calculated on all attempted coursework.
GRE scores.
An essay detailing the applicant’s interest in enrolling in the program, goals for advancing his/her intellectual abilities in the program, and how study in the program will advance his/her professional skills.
Two Recommendations.
Students enrolling exclusively in online classes are not required to submit immunization records.
Applicants for the online track should complete the Student Information Sectionand the Distance Learning Exemption only.
Prospective students whose first language is not English or those who completed coursework or degrees outside the U.S., please provide language proficiency test scores.
